Dear bloggers,

It would be nice if you got all the details right away but sadly, even I am not privy to that sort of confidential information. It seems the world has set me up on a "need to know" basis and so far I've done pretty good for myself. In the past month I've managed to graduate high school and go to prom. If you're wondering who the 30 year old guy is, I'll let you know he's 22! and he's my boyfriend. (I know, he's handsome ain't he ;)) Following these events things have been pretty boring though. I've been knitting a lot. I'm currently in the middle of a sweater. I've also been thinking of idea's of things to sew for my new year.
Because! LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! I am starting college in september. I have many dreams I hope to accomplish before the summer is over in order to prepare myself for the year ahead.

This is the front of my sweater. I'm thinking of making the sleeves grey, any thoughts?
My main goals:
 1. To organize my dorm room to it's maximum capacity
 3. To be as efficient and prepared in my studies for optimal success in my field
 4. To do lots of crafts over the summer (I'm going to make a quilt for my dorm)
 5. To work on a budget!
 6. To learn easy, quick and nutritious meals so I don't gain the freshman 10!
 7. To drop all my shitty old habits I learned in high school
 8. To chat with lots of cool folks who can give me any other sort of advice that I probably herd from my parents or my teachers but I find far more compelling coming from total strangers over my laptop
 9. To do as many crafts as possible
 10. To spend lots of completely utilized time on pinterest!

I already have a few things I plan on doing... I don't want to limit myself to a list so we'll just have a brain storm with lots of (...)'s. I would like to make a meal plan ... a budget and grocery lists ... sew a shoe rack to hang in my closet... set up some sort of clothes organizational system... MAKE A QUILT! ... have my entire life in a binder ... start saving my receipts for my taxes ... sew a ton of new clothes ... have a schedule for when i start class which includes a daily time each day for studying and for working out... I'd like to make it possible to live on as little money as possible... some personalizations for my dorm room... something that doesn't take up lots of room since I will have a room mate ... and i will need a cleaning routine to keep my dorm room spotless!

I'm very exited to start posting about my latest activities over the summer but mostly I would really love some ideas! I would love pictures, study tips, and to know how YOU managed to survive college! I really want the inside scoop! What people need to know to get through with the best possible chance of survival!

Please post your comments, survival guides, and craft ideas! I'll keep you all updated on my progress with my crafts and the tips I'm going to try out.

Sincerely,

Taylor
